Terms of Service & Liability Waiver

Section 1: Data Responsibility

Technology is unpredictable. While I take every precaution to protect your information, data backup is the sole responsibility of the client. IT By Joe is not liable for data loss during software optimization, operating system re-installs, or component upgrades. I strongly recommend backing up your files to the cloud or an external drive before service, or purchasing a data backup service by IT By Joe

Section 2: Scope of Work & Limitations

I specialize in software configuration, system tune-ups, and internal component upgrades (RAM/SSD). I do not offer physical repairs for cracked screens, broken hinges, or liquid-damaged hardware. If I determine that your issue is physical in nature, I will refer you to a local hardware specialist. IT By Joe is not responsible for pre-existing hardware failures that occur during the course of software troubleshooting.

Section 3: Abandoned Property

Due to limited storage space, any device left with IT By Joe for more than 30 days after service completion (without communication) will be considered abandoned and may be recycled, disposed of, or sold to recover labor costs.

Section 4: Payments & Estimates

I offer flat-rate pricing for most services. Estimates are provided upfront, but final costs may vary depending on the complexity of the software issue. Payment is due upon completion of the service.”
